The Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Flame is much more than a symbol: it is a journey that ignites emotion and curiosity, crossing cities, towns, and territories, carrying with it the spirit of the Games. From ancient Olympia, where the flame is lit on November 26, 2025, to its arrival in Rome, Italy, on December 4, the Flame travels across the country like a thread of light uniting places, people, and stories. Each stopover tells a unique story: local traditions, spectacular landscapes, smiles, and the applause of those eager to experience the Olympic magic up close.
On January 25, 2026, the Olympic Flame begins its journey through the Belluno Dolomites, starting in Feltre and passing through Trichiana, until reaching Belluno.
The next day, the journey continues between Farra d'Alpago and Ponte nelle Alpi, crossing Vajont and Longarone, before ascending the Cadore region, passing through Pieve di Cadore, Tai, Valle di Cadore, and San Vito, until reaching Cortina d'Ampezzo on the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Games. Here, the Flame ascends towards the Rifugio Tofane, then descends along the historic sliding sports route and the Eugenio Monti Olympic slope.
The Flame's journey through the Belluno Dolomites concludes on January 27, 2026, passing through two iconic locations: the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Lake Misurina.
The journey of the Olympic Flame will begin on 26 November 2025 with its ignition in Olympia, Greece, and will continue for 63 days, passing through all 110 Italian provinces and covering approximately 12,000 kilometres
As for the Paralympic Flame, its journey will start on 24 February 2026 and end on 6 March 2026, the day of the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Winter Games. During these 11 days, the torch will travel approximately 2,000 kilometres, touching on several Italian locations.
These stages represent significant moments for the territory of the Belluno Dolomites, offering the opportunity to actively participate in the enthusiasm and Olympic spirit leading up to the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Games.
